So, yesterday i received an email from the Tumblr staff regarding one of my audio posts. You can see a screenshot of the mail on my mate’s blog, here. Apparently a record company contacted them to take down that post since i was infringing on their copyright.

Now, i completely understand that they wanna prevent people from stealing music, but, let’s not get anal here. Don’t these idiots understand that this is how people discover music these days. No one listens to the radio anymore …

Furthermore, all the music i post is bought, check my itunes account. I also remove the art and tags from the files for that reason AND there is no download link (which Tumblr provides, if you include it in your theme) for the mp3’s.

So what i’m trying to say is, SUCK MY DICK! Seriously, one day you’ll realize everyone is fed-up with record companies (who leech of off artists anyways) and the independent artists will rise to the top.

I hope you die a slow and painful death.

This may have very well been my last post here. I really enjoyed Tumblr, loved creating inspiring designs for it … but since music is my passion, and my passion is what i blog about … this may become impossible to do on Tumblr in the future.
